Why Homework?
Self-study is an important part of studying any subject, but especially when learning a language. The more time you spend speaking, reading, writing and thinking in English, the better you will get. Homework may not be fun, but it is the best way to make sure you spend more time studying English outside of the classroom.
Homework Rules
As you know, you have several homework assignments to complete. It is fine to work together with a friend, but you should not just copy answers. Any copying will result in a zero for that homework, and your first - and last - warning: copying a second time will be an automatic fail in the course.
You will be given a deadline for the homework - usually two or three days after the class. If you are late submitting the homework without a good reason, then you will get a lower grade for that homework. If you do not complete all the homework, you cannot pass the course. You must complete all the homework - better late than never!
You will need to get the minimum score for the homework - usually 60% but it may be different for each homework. Your teacher will tell you if the minimum score is different. If your score is lower than the minimum, then you will need to do it again. If you are having difficulties with the homework, please talk to your teacher, either in class or in his office.
For most of the homework, there are two parts: vocabulary and quiz. The vocabulary uses the Quizlet app and the quiz uses Google Forms. Links to both will be emailed to your university email address. If you lose the mail, you can follow the links on this page. Be sure to click Submit after you complete the quiz.

- If you do not click submit, then you have not completed your homework.
- You will get an automatic email - if you do not get one, then you probably typed in the email address wrong. Do the homework again, and check your email address carefully.
After each homework, you will be sent a summary of your work. Use this to help you improve your understanding of the material.
